In Progress; Conceived as a fantasy collaboration between Cassie Machado and modernist photographer Lionel Wendt (b.Colombo, Sri Lanka, 1900-1944) the series explores the themes of diasporic identity and post-colonialism and uses the object of Wendt’s photo book Ceylon, published posthumously in London, 1950 as it’s starting point.
